Stacy Carolan has been a professional performer for over three decades - from actor to audiobook narrator, trumpet player, singer, humorist and emcee. He's recorded audiobook titles for icons Penguin Random House, Hachette Audio, and Blackstone Publishing, as well as Scribe Media and Learning Ally. He's also studied with industry power coaches Johnny Heller, Shannon Elizabeth Parks, Paul Alan Rubin, and Tom Dheere. Currently, Stacy is acting as a mentor in the Audio Publishers Association Mentorship Program.
On the music side, Stacy holds a Masters Degree in trumpet performance from the Eastman School of Music. He has worked with a variety of artists from Alan Menken to Rene Fleming to Foreigner, and performed on NBC's Today Show. As an actor, his stage credits include lead roles in The Odd Couple, Macbeth, and The Pirates of Penzance.
Most importantly, Stacy is a proud husband, father, and dog owner. He enjoys astronomy, magic tricks, philosophy, hiking, cooking, good movies, bad movies, the written word, billiards, bratwurst, accents, poker, and anything written by Aaron Sorkin. His past occupations include baseball mascot, roofer, casino dealer, knife salesman, music arranger, internet copywriter, Elvis impersonator, furniture assembler, street musician, comedy writer, and human rhythm section.
He loves learning new things, experiencing the breath-stopping beauty of the natural world, and discovering a well-crafted turn of phrase. Also pie.
Stacy Carolan's voice is like that first sip of bourbon whiskey warming your tummy after a long day of hard labor!
BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN & PERFORMED
This was, as expected, a great story! Nathan has a way of twisting a tale to keep you guessing until the very end! Unlike other mystery type books, once you know how it ends, all the pieces of the story totally fit together! Stacy Carolan did a wonderful job acting the different parts of the story.
I would describe Wormwood as a coming of age horror story, and it's a great listen. It's both written and performed very well. The story is captivating throughout. One of my favorite listens so far.
